
Lavonne’s Extra Sharp Scalloped Potatoes Recipe Servings: 6-8 people Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes Ingredients:
- 3 lbs Russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Remove foil and bake additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Layer potatoes, onion, garlic, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese.
Pour heavy cream over top layer.
Season with salt, pepper, and thyme (if using).
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
