Lavonne’s Pistachio Baklava Recipe


Lavonne’s Pistachio Baklava Recipe Servings: 12-15 pieces Prep Time: 30 minutes Cook Time: 45 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted pistachios, chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup rose water (optional)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 tsp salt
1 package phyllo dough (usually 20 sheets)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix pistachios, sugar, honey, rose water (if using), cinnamon, cardamom, and salt.
Layer phyllo dough, brushing with melted butter between sheets.
Spread pistachio mixture on half of phyllo stack.
Fold remaining phyllo over filling, pressing edges to seal.
Brush top with butter and bake 40-45 minutes or golden brown.
